The E58S series sine wave incremental rotary encoders transmit analog sine wave operational amplifier (op-amp) output for speed regulation and position control. C, D output phase signals can be used to calculate absolute position and A, B output phase signals can be multiplied to offer high precision position control comparable to over 10,000 pulses.

Description
The Autonics E58S (Sine Wave) Series are 58 mm incremental rotary encoders that deliver analog sine wave output via an operational amplifier (op-amp) for precise speed regulation and position control in motion systems. These encoders feature a tapered solid shaft, support multiple output phase signals (A, B, Z, C, D), and can generate high-resolution position feedback by leveraging multiplication of A/B outputs and use of C/D signals. The analog sine wave characteristics enable fine resolution comparable to over 10,000 pulses with proper signal processing, making the series suitable for servo drive feedback, PLC motion loops, and precision positioning systems. Models are available with axial or radial cable types and a 5 VDC power supply, and operate reliably across industrial temperature ranges.
