The E18S series incremental rotary encoders feature ultra-compact Ø18 mm size housings and ultra-lightweight (12 g) design. The small size and light weight allows easy installation in tight or limited spaces. The low moment of inertia of the shaft minimizes the effect on the rotation of applied equipment. The miniature encoders are ideal for small machinery including ATMs, bill counters, copy machines, and other compact-sized machinery.

The Autonics E18S Series are ultra-compact Ø18 mm incremental rotary encoders designed for precise speed and position feedback in space-constrained automation equipment. With a solid shaft design, multiple resolution options, and selectable output types (NPN/PNP open collector or voltage output), the E18S series integrates easily into compact motors, conveyors, small actuators, and OEM assemblies.
Operating on a wide supply voltage range (5–24 VDC) and featuring a lightweight housing, the E18S delivers stable pulse output (A, B, Z phases) for reliable motion feedback. Axial or radial cable configurations support flexible wiring layouts, making the E18S ideal for compact machinery, robotics sub-assemblies, packaging equipment, and indexing mechanisms where installation space is limited.
